This project involved the construction of a massive distribution center for Procter & Gamble’s Consumer Products Division and is situated on 129 acres near the Dayton Airport. At 1.8 million square foot it is arguably the largest LEED® Silver certified project in the mid-west if not the country.

Product Packing Customization Area – The building functions as a cross-dock distribution center and includes a 200,000 square foot product and packaging customization area. The customization area contains flexible infrastructure including conveyors, power, and air distribution to allow for reconfigurable product and packaging production lines.

The building also contains 40,000 sf of hazardous material storage, a  two-story office, logistics offices, exterior gatehouses, scales, traffic control and trailer parking to accommodate the large volume of daily truck traffic required by the distribution portions of the operation.

Distribution Center Scope of Work – ATA-B was commissioned by P&G to create a comprehensive Scope of Work template to be used for future P&G distribution center projects.  The template allows P&G to tailor their standards to individual projects regardless of size. It details project parameters allowing potential developers to understand P&G’s requirements to prepare a comprehensive proposals. The template includes detailed information on operations, MEP and fire protection needs, flow of operations, site layout, and P&G specific equipment requirements.
